Prestonsburg was in a battle with host East Ridge as the Blackcats managed to hang on for a 29-26 victory over the Warriors on the Reservation on Friday night.
Quarterback Brayden Slone had one touchdown pass and he rushed for 86 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns as the Blackcats won for the first time this season in three games.
Running back Carter Akers added 81 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries. Ethan Jarvis hauled in a touchdown pass.
Slone led the defense with 15 tackles. He picked off a pass and recovered a fumble. Gavin Stephens added a fumble recovery. Braxton Collins had 11 tackles.
Warrior running back Jeremy Taylor rushed 28 times for 147 yards and two touchdowns while Isaiah Adkins added 115 yards rushing. Gabe Mullins carried nine times for 107 yards and a score.
Quarterback Zack Mason passed for 110 yards and one score. Adkins had two catches for 56 yards and a TD reception. Casey Kendrick hauled in two passes for 51 yards.
Connor Puckett led the defense with 12 tackles. Mullins picked off one pass.
The Blackcats will host Shelby Valley (2-1) on Oct. 1. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. The Warriors, now 0-3, will play at Martin County (2-1) on Oct. 2. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
