HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Bulldogs beat Estill County in district opener

Lawrence County used a big second half to pull away and beat Estill County, 33-12, in a homecoming matchup played at Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Field on Friday night.

The Bulldogs improved to 4-1 overall.

Running back Cody Crum ran for 146 yards and two touchdowns while Cavan Williams added 60 yards and a score.

Quarterback Talan Pollock ran for a touchdown and passed for another. He had 70 yards passing.

Lawrence County will travel to Pond creek on Friday night for a showdown with Belfry (3-3).Kickoff from Haywood Stadium is 7:30 pm.
