HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Bulldogs cruise past Thorobreds behind solid ground attack

Lawrence County quarterback Alex Strickland rushed for 122 yards on 10 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns to ignite the Bulldogs to a 42-7 season opening win over Harrison County at Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Stadium on Friday night.

Running back Dylan Ferguson added 66 yards on the ground and one score while Blue Fletcher finished with 35 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Douglas Hall and Ryan Marcum each ran for a touchdown in the final quarter.

The Bulldogs are idle this coming Friday before going on the road to Greenup Couty (0-0) on Sept. 3.
