Martin County took an early lead against Prestonsburg and the Cardinals rolled to a 44-0 win in a game played at the Rock on Friday night.
Quarterback Devan Maynard ran for 134 yards and three touchdowns as the Cardinals snapped a two-game losing streak and moved to 3-4 overall.
Running back Brock Messer had 192 yards and two scores on 23 attempts while Madden Miller finished with 92 yards and a score.
Martin County’s defense held the Blackcats, now 4-3, to just 17 total yards.
Both teams are back in action on Friday night as the Cardinals play at Knott Central (2-5) while the Blackcats (4-3) visit Floyd Central (4-3). Both games are set to kick at 7:30 pm.
