Middlesboro quarterback Cayden Grigsby converted a two-point conversion, and it was the difference in the game as Martin County fell to the Yellowjackets, 14-12, in a game played at The Rock on Friday night.
Cardinal running back Kolby Sparks had a big night, rushing 24 times for 166 yards and one touchdown as Martin County dropped to 3-3.
Running back Logan Proctor added 43 yards and one score on just seven carries.
Martin County finished with 224 yards rushing.
The Cardinals will play at Prestonsburg (3-4) on Nov. 6. Kickoff from Josh Francis Memorial Field is set for 7:30 p.m.
