The Letcher Central Cougars went on the road to Clay County for a district matchup and came away with an impressive 54-18 win on Friday night.
Quarterback Carson Adams tossed a pair of touchdown passes and ran for two others as Central won its fourth straight game and moved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in district play.
Adams passed for 187 yards and ran for 87. Running back Hayden Brashear ran for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Receiver Nicholas Haning hauled in five passes for 130 yards and a score. Trevor Branham added a TD reception and Isaac Matthews ran for a score.
The Cougars are idle this week before hosting Johnson Central (5-2) for the district championship at Cougar Field on Oct. 22.
