Lawrence County was three feet away from coming from behind at home to beat Greenup County in a battle of unbeatens.
A fourth down fumble at the one denied the Bulldogs as the Musketeers escaped with a 17-14 win.
Running back Dylan Ferguson rushed for 67 yards and a first-quarter touchdown and quarterback Talan Pollock added a one-yard TD run to give the Bulldogs a 14-10 halftime lead.
Running back Ryan Marcum finished with 44 yards on the ground.
Lawrence County will play at Russell (0-3) on Friday night. Kickoff is at 7:30 pm.
