Magoffin County won for the second time in three weeks as the Hornets defeated Estill County, 38-19, in a district game played on the road on Friday night.
Quarterback Aiden Barnett tossed a pair of touchdown passes – one each to Garrett Jenkins and Dayson Burchett. Barnett added 86 yards rushing and a touchdown.
Running back Ian McCarty had a big game with 193 yards and two scores on 15 carries.
The Hornets will close out the regular season at home against Morgan County (6-3). Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
