
The top three teams remained the same this week in the latest Mountain Top Sports Super 7 football poll released on Monday.
Johnson Central rolled to a 35-14 victory over Belfry to remain atop the poll. The Eagles improved to 7-0 and won its 22nd straight game.
The Pirates, now 5-3, remained No. 2, just ahead of Pikeville (5-2). The Panthers fell on the road at Class 2A power Lexington Christian Academy.
Letcher Central (5-1) climbed into the No. 4 spot after the Cougars beat Paintsville. The Tigers, now 5-2, remained at No. 6.
Shelby Valley, now 6-2, is fifth following the Wildcats road loss at Harrison County.
Pike Central (4-4) climbed back into the poll after knocking off previously unbeaten Breathitt County.
Lawrence County (3-1) received votes.
