HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Logan struggles in road loss at Winfield

Logan’s offense was held in check for much of the game as Winfield defeated the Wildcats, 29-7, in a game played in Putnam County on Friday night. 

The Wildcats, now 4-1, trailed 21-0 in the third quarter before quarterback Jaxon Cogar scored on a two-yard run. Cogar passed for 164 yards, completing 18-of-33 attempts.  

Logan managed just 24 yards on the ground. 

Receiver Aiden Slack hauled in nine passes for 101 yards. 

The Wildcats will return to Willis/Nisbet Stadium to face Nitro (2-3) on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7 pm.
