Magoffin County’s offense was clicking on all cylinders as the Hornets beat Powell County, 50-25, in a district matchup played on Friday night.
Quarterback Aden Barnett had a big game, passing for 132 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 78 yards and two scores.
Running back Ian McCarty had 166 yards on the ground and one score.
Receiver Dayson Burchett caught two passes for 68 yards, both going for touchdowns.
Magoffin County, now 2-5, will play at Lawrence County (4-2) on Friday night. Kickoff from Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Field in Louisa is set for 7:30 pm.
