Martin County went on the road to Fleming County and the Cardinals dropped a 21-14 contest on Friday night.
Running back Dawson Mills had a big game for the Cardinals, now 1-2, rushing for 197 yards on 27 carries and a pair of touchdowns. His 15-yard run in the second quarter tied the game at 7-all. He added a 54-tard TD tun early in the final period.
Martin County returns to The Rock to host Knott County Central (1-1) on Friday night. Kickoff is at 7:30 pm.
