HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Martin County skins Bath County

Martin County continued its dominance of Bath County as the Cardinals shut out the Wildcats, 46-0, in a road game played on Friday night. 

The Cardinals, now 3-2, had beaten Bath County in the three previous meetings. 

Martin County rushed for 356 yards, led by Brock Messer’s 188 yards and two scores on seven attempts. Dawson Mills added 81 yards and two touchdowns on four touches.  

Madden Miller added a rushing touchdown and quarterback Weston Jude passed for a pair of scores, one each to Damian Cheek and Joey Robinson. 

The Cardinals return to The Rock on Friday night to host East Ridge (2-3). Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
