Mingo Central had no answer in trying to contain Point Pleasant’s high-powered offense as the Big Blacks cruised to a 66-28 win over the Miners in a game played at First Ohio Bank Stadium on Friday night.
Miner running back Norman Kennedy had a big game on the ground with 216 yards rushing on 23 carries and three touchdowns. He had scoring runs of 37, 34 and 38.
Quarterback Chris Ross passed for 99 yards and one touchdown as Central dropped to 1-1.
