Five different Paintsville running backs scored at least one touchdown each as the Tigers steamrolled Betsy Layne, 55-8, in the opening round of the Class 1A playoff opener played at Memorial Field on Friday night.
The Tigers, now 6-2, will play at Raceland (4-5) in the district championship game on Nov. 27.
Running back Harris Phelps ran for 126 yards and two touchdowns and Luke Hyden rushed for a pair of scores.
Quarterback Karsten Poe, starting in place of Jake Hyden, passed for 170 yards and tossed a TD pass to Colby Fugate. Poe added a rushing touchdown.
Nathan Marsillett and Justin Ramey ran for a score each.
The Tigers finished with 517 total yards in offense.
