Paintsville battled Raceland throughout the opening half before the Rams pulled away in the third quarter to beat the Tigers, 38-14, in the district game played at Rams Stadium on Friday night.
Quarterback AJ James passed for 306 yards and a pair of touchdowns, one each to Conner Fugate and Harris Phelps. Phelps finished with three catches for 90 yards. Receiver Jonah Porter hauled in six passes for 80 yards.
The Tigers will close out the regular season against Pike Central on Friday night. Kickoff from Memorial Field is set for 7:30 p.m.
