HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Panthers advance to third straight regional title game

Pikeville dominated from start to finish as the Panthers rolled past Williamsburg, 42-0, in the Class 1A second-round game played at Hillard Howard Field on Friday night.

The Panthers, now 9-2, will face Middlesboro (9-2) in the regional championship game at home on Friday. Kickoff is 7:30 pm.  Its Pikeville’s third straight appearance in the game.

Quarterback Isaac Duty passed for 105 yards and one touchdown and added a pair of rushing scores. Running back Brenden Anthony ran for 84 yards and a touchdown on six carries.

Receivers Mikey Hager and Quinton Williams had TD receptions. Isaiah Stanley added a pick six.
