The Pikeville Panthers (7-2) have regained sole possession of first place in the latest Mountain Top Sports Super 7 football poll released on Tuesday.
Pikeville is followed by closely by Johnson Central. The Golden Eagles, now 6-2, are second, followed by Letcher Central (6-2). The two teams will clash at Cougar Field on Friday night with the district title on the line.
Belfry (3-5) leaps to No. 4 following the Pirates impressive win over No. 5 Lawrence County (6-2).
Rounding out the poll are No. 6 Magoffin County (5-2) and Paintsville (4-4).
Receiving votes are Betsy Layne (6-2), Martin County (6-4), Logan (5-3) and Shelby Valley (4-4).
