The Pikeville Panthers solidified their choice as the No. 1 ranked team in the latest Mountain Top Sports Super 7 football poll released on Tuesday.
Pikeville cruised past highly touted Lexington Christian for a third straight win, routing the Eagles, 60-21.
The Panthers are followed by Johnson Central (3-2) at No. 2. The Golden Eagles were idle on Friday.
Lawrence County is third following an impressive road win over previously unbeaten East Carter. The Bulldogs are 4-1.
Letcher Central, 4-2, is No. 4 after beating Perry Central on the road. The Cougars are followed by Shelby Valley. The Wildcats improved to 3-2 with a win over West Carter.
Rounding out the poll are Belfry (3-3) and Prestonsburg (6-0). The Pirates beat Magoffin County and the Blackcats rallied past East Ridge.
Receiving votes are Logan (4-1), Man (4-1), Tug Valley (4-1), and Martin County (3-2).
