HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Raceland pulls away from Paintsville

Raceland shut down Paintsville over the game’s final 18 minutes and the Rams went on to claim the district championship with a 36-19 win over the Tigers at Memorial Field on Friday night.

Tiger quarterback Frederick James passed for 235 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Paintsville dropped to 4-5 overall.

Running back Harris Phelps ran for 96 yards and one score. Austin Allen and Zach Taylor each had a touchdown reception.
