Martin County’s struggles on the road continued as East Carter handed the Cardinals a 49-20 setback in the regular season finale played on Friday night.
It was the third road loss and second in the past three weeks as Martin County dropped to 7-4.
Running back Kolby Sparks ran for 212 yards and three touchdowns as the Cardinals rushed for 412 as a team. Dawson Mills finished with 113 yards on 10 carries.
East Carter running back Charlie Terry had 147 yards and three scores on nine carries.
The Cardinals will host Shelby Valley (5-5) at The Rock on Nov. 5. Kickoff is 7 pm.
