Shelby Valley’s offense was clicking on all cylinders as the Wildcats traveled to the Reservation and knocked off East Ridge, 62-20, in a game played on Friday night.
Quarterback Russ Osborne passed for 203 yards and four touchdowns as the Wildcats improved to 6-2 and won their fourth straight game. He rushed for 91 yards and a score. Osborne picked off two passes and returned one for a touchdown.
John Fields hauled in two TD passes while Brady Bentley and Brady Johnson had one each. Field had two catches for 94 yards and Bentley hauled in three passes for 88.
Running backs Jayden Newsome, Jordan Ratliff, and Brady Johnson each added a rushing touchdown.
East Ridge quarterback Dylan Burdine passed for 234 yards and three touchdowns. Zack Mason hauled in a pair of scores. He finished with 116 yards receiving. Jacob Ferran added a TD catch.
Shelby Valley will return home to host Martin County (5-3) while the Warriors journey to West Carter (1-7) on Friday night. Both games will kick at 7:30 p.m.
