Shelby Valley’s high-octane offense continued its late-season dominance as the Wildcat defeated Floyd Central, 51-6, at Hobart Clay Johnson Field on Friday night to advance to the regional championship game.
It was the second win this season over the Jaguars as the Wildcats moved to 9-3. Floyd Central’s season ends at 6-6.
Running back Brett Sturgill rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns on 11 rushes. Clark Craft and John Luke Fields added a rushing score each.
Quarterback Russ Osborne passed for 235 yards and one touchdown. Receiver Brady Bentley hauled in six catches for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Cody Sturgill had a TD reception.
Floyd Central quarterback Jace Martin ran for a touchdown.
Shelby Valley will play on the road against Somerset (9-3) this Friday. Kickoff is 7:30 pm.
