Pikeville eighth-grade golf standout Cam Roberts shot a one-under par 69 to medal, leading the Panthers to a second-place finish in the Ashland Invitational played at Bellefonte County Club on Monday.
The Panthers finished behind Mason County which recorded a 297, becoming the first school with a sub 300 since St. Xavier achieved the milestone in 2011.
Roberts edged out Ashland Blazer’s Connor Calhoun by one stroke. The Panthers as a team finished with a score of 325.
Pikeville’s Jon Roberts placed ninth with a 77.
