Prestonsburg took charge early on against Belfry and cruised to a 9-1 victory in a match played at Massey Energy Soccer Complex on Thursday night.
Dylan Moore knocked home three goals while Bryan Amador, Isaiah Collins and Matt Burchett added two each. Bryan Maynard, Preston Crase, Grant Justice and Collins added one assist each.
Goalkeepers Jacob Martin and Bryce Ousley combined to limit the Pirates to just a single goal.
Logan Maynard scored an unassisted goal for the Pirates.
Belfry goalkeeper Makaden Maynard stopped 22 shots. Prestonsburg took 43.

Lawrence County battled Ashland Blazer from start to finish before the Bulldogs came up on the short end of a 5-4 outcome in a match played on Thursday night.
Luke Johnson finished with three goals for Lawrence County and Blake Maynard added one goal and one assist. Will Copley also had an assist.
Goalkeeper Trenton Adkins totaled 13 saves in the loss.

Letcher Central’s Javier Polly scored the Cougars lone goal as visiting Hazard scored a 4-1 win at Cougar Field on Thursday night.
Joseph Campbell assisted on the goal. Goalkeeper Nate Cook had 14 saves in the loss.
Central dropped to 0-2.

Prestonsburg’s Anna Burchett scored seven goals and assisted on one other to lead the Lady Blackcats to a 12-2 victory over Belfry at Massey Energy Soccer Complex on Thursday night.
The game was called at the first half by the mercy rule. All of Burchett’s goal were unassisted.
Lauren Johnson added two goals and two assists while Kadynce Hackworth scored two goals and had an assist. Lauren Patton scored one goal and Chloe Collins assisted on one.
Zoey Caudill and Kylea Stanley scored one goal each for the Lady Pirates. Jazzy Cline had eight saves in goal.

Letcher Central’s Kylee Bates, Brooke Bates and Rylee Lewis scored three goals each to power the Lady Cougars to a 10-0 victory in the season opener over Hazard at Cougar Field on Thursday night.
Miranda Princess added one goal while Skylar Frazier, Angelina Acevedo and Emily Wright had one assist each along with Brooke Bates.
Goalkeeper Kassandra Ramirez recorded the shutout win.

Goalkeeper Rylee Theiss limited the Lady Cats to just a single goal.
The Lady Panthers are now 2-0.
