HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER: Pikeville stuns JC in 15th Region opener

The Pikeville Lady Panthers soccer team scored an opening round upset over Johnson Central, earning a 7-6 shootout/penalty kicks win in a match played at Jim Matney field on Tuesday night.

The match was tied at 3-all following regulation and both overtimes.

Goalkeeper Larren Collins stopped the Lady Eagles final two shots to secure the win. She finished with 11 saves.

Rylee Theiss scored all three goals for Pikeville in regulation. 

The Lady Panthers will next face the Shelby Valley/Martin County winner on Oct. 9.
