Shelby Valley’s Emily Adkins blasted a pair of three-run homers to lead the Bat Kats to a 13-5 59th district win over the Pikeville Lady Panthers in a game played at Myers Field on Thursday.
Lindsey Reed added three hits, including a double, and knocked in three runs as the Valley improved to 17-7. Riley Fleming had two hits, batted in two runs, and scored three runs.
Elaina Tackett and Hunter Adkins collected two hits each. Tackett scored three runs and Adkins crossed the plate twice.
Pikeville catcher Ginna Jones belted a two-run homer in the loss. It’s the fourth straight game she has went yard. Shana Ray singled in a pair of runs and scored.
Caroline Brown and Cate Salyers added a pair of hits each.
