Post-season awards continue to come in for two area high school softball standouts.
Pikeville senior pitcher Emily Ford and Pike County Central sophomore hurler Chloe Hannah have been named 15th Region Co-Players of the Year.
Ford, the Lady Panthers all-time strikeout leader, was 19-9 in the circle, striking out 263 batters in 186 innings. She allowed just over two runs per outing as Pikeville finished 23-13.
She hit .388, with 45 hits, including 21 extra base hits, and drove in 32 runs.
Hannah was 25-8 for the Lady Hawks. She fanned 350 batters in 219 innings on the mound. She hit ,390, with 41 hits and knocked in 28 runs as Central ended the season at 27-12.
Meanwhile, the 15th Region Coach of the Year honors went to Lawrence County’s Kenny Horn.
He guided the Lady Bulldogs to a region-best 29-7 record, falling in the regional title game to Johnson Central.
