Pikeville saw a seven-run lead slip away as Elizabethton (TN) stormed from behind to beat the Lady anthers, 17-7, in the semifinals of the 20th annual Lyndel Potter Memorial tournament played at Myers field on Saturday.
Catcher Ginna Jones blasted a solo home run in the loss. Cassidy Slater added two hits, scored, and batted in an RBI.
Caroline Brown singled, knocked in two runs and scored while Shana Ray added two singles, scored, and added an RBI.
Gracie Hall singled twice and batted in one run. Molly Coleman had two hits and scored twice. Brae Ward collected three hits and scored.
Lexie Akers suffered the loss.

Molly Coleman singled in a pair of runs while Cate Salyers and Ginna Jones added RBI hits. Both also scored.
Caroline Brown collected two hits and scored while Gracie Hall singled and scored.

Pikeville pushed across five runs in the bottom of the first inning and the Lady Panthers went on to defeat Grundy (VA) 10-2, in the 20th annual Lyndel Potter Memorial tournament game played at Myers Field.
Belle Maynard won her first varsity game in the circle. She allowed just two runs on four hits.
Izzi Rose had a big game at the plate with a two-run homer, triple, and she knocked in four runs. Ginna Jones doubled twice and scored both times.
Gracie Hall singled twice, batted in two runs, and scored a run. Caroline Brown tripled and scored once.
