Pikeville pitcher Lexie Akers pitched three scoreless innings and the Lady Panthers collected 11 as a team, beating Prestonsburg, 15-0, in the 15th Region All “A” tournament game played at Myers Field on Monday night.
Brae Ward had two hits and drove in three runs while Shana Ray added three hits, including a double, scored three runs and knocked in a pair.
Ginna Jones doubled and singled, walked, scored twice, and batted in one run. Cassidy Slater singled, walked, batted in two runs, and scored.
Izzi Rose doubled in one run and scored while Cate Salyers singled, walked, scored two runs, and added an RBI.
Caroline Brown had one hit, walked, and scored twice. Molly Coleman walked, added an RBI, and scored two runs. Gracie Hall singled, walked, drove in a run and scored two.
The Lady Panthers, now 6-6, will play Shelby Valley (6-3) on Tuesday night.
