HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: Tug Valley gets past Pikeville; JC rallies to stun Cabell Midland

Tug Valley took an early four-run lead on Pikeville and went on to score a 5-3 victory in a game played at Myers Field on Monday night.

Cassidy Griffey had two hits, including a triple, and drove in a pair of runs while scoring once as the Lady Panthers snapped a four-game losing streak and moved to 10-8.

Winning pitcher Autumn Hall finished with 11 strikeouts. Haleigh Muncy and Kinna Justice both singled and scored.

Pikeville’s Molly Coleman tripled in two runs and, also singled as the Lady Panthers dropped to 21-10. Cassidy Slater singled in one run and Larren Collins singled and scored twice.

Isabella Rose was the losing pitcher.
