Pike Central scored an un-earned run in the bottom of the third inning to blank Belfry, 1-0, in softball action played at Buckley’s Creek on Tuesday night.
Winning pitcher Chloe Hannah struck out 12 batters and allowed three hits.
Belfry hurler Molly Fahm was outstanding, not allowing a hit and she fanned 10 in the tough-luck loss.
Central’s Jaycie Stanley was hit by a pitch and came around to score on a throwing error.
The Lady Hawks are now 6-4, Belfry dropped to 3-3.
