The West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission (SSAC) has set the guidelines for fans attending games across the state set to kick off on Sept. 4.
Immediate family members of players and coaches and those who purchase tickets in advanced will be allowed inside sports facilities.
Football, volleyball, soccer and cheerleading will continue to operate under the state’s mandatory color-code map.
Logan county schools, which include Chapmanville, Logan and Man, are currently under red while Mingo Central and Tug Valley are under orange.
Here is a breakdown:
Green counties – If home team attendance is limited to coaches and players immediate family.
Yellow counties – Only parents of players and coaches’ spouses are allowed.
Orange counties – Teams can practice but no game competition.
Red counties – Teams are not permitted to begin practice or play games.
SSAC members are urging schools to put a system in place for presales and assign seating at each game.
