Pikeville’s Kaylee Wells finished with 14 blocks and Emily Gearheart collected 28 digs and had four serving aces as the Lady Panthers cruised past East Ridge, 3-0, in the season opening match played at The Reservation on Tuesday night.
McKinlee Potter followed with eight kills and Hannah Akers added six in the 25-17, 25-10 and 25-13 win. Caroline Wright had four kills and Chloe Wright finished with four kills and two blocks.
Riley Tavis collected four kills, three blocks and 31 assists.

Defending 15th Region champion Floyd County was in a battle with host Wolfe County in the season opener, earning a hard-fought 2-0 win on Tuesday night.
Jadyn Hall had seven kills and six digs in the 27-25 and 25-23. Gabrielle Howard finished with six kills and six digs. Alivia Stumbo totaled seven digs. Amelia Wallace finished with 17 assists.

Martin County rallied from a 2-1 deficit to knock off Johnson Central, 3-2, in the season opener for both schools on Tuesday night.
Alyssa McCoy finished with two aces, six kills, 24 assists and 13 digs in the 24-26, 25-20, 17-25, 25-20 and 15-11 win.
Kira Osborn had two aces, eight kills, two assists and 13 digs while Lauren Horn finished with 12 kills and one block.
Jenna Grayson totaled two aces, four assists and 21 digs. Alli Grayson added three aces, three kills and 23 digs.

Kara Ward totaled 10 aces and seven kills while Bella Blackburn added 20 assists.
