Coach Chris McNamee’s love for Pikeville High School and his football program runs deep.
His Panthers rewarded their coach with his 200th victory as Pikeville rolled past Hazard, 43-7, at Hillard Howard Field on Friday night.
McNamee has now won 170 at his alma mater.
Quarterback Isaac McNamee passed for 278 yards and three touchdowns as Pikeville improved to 5-1 in what could have been the final game of the regular season. He also ran for a first-half touchdown.
Running back Blake Birchfield had 90 yards and two touchdowns on five carries, all in the first half. He ran 73 yards for a score on the first play from scrimmage. Birchfield also caught three passes for 46 yards.
Wide receiver Zac Lockhart had nine catches for 155 yards and one score while Brandon Lowe hauled in a 79-yard touchdown pass and Nate Collins added an eight-yard TD pass.
