INEZ – Martin County used a big second quarter to pull away and beat Belfry, 57-39, in a game played on Monday night.
Maddie Thompson poured in a game-high 26 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to earn a double-double as the Lady Cardinals moved to 5-0. Kristen Isaac followed with 14 points and Lakyn Porter chipped in nine.
Kyera Thornsbury paced the Lady Pirates, now 1-4, with 21 points and Cushi Fletcher followed with 12.

ROBINSON CREEK – Shelby Valley took control early on and rolled to a 62-29 victory over Pike County Central in a game played at the Shelby Valley Sports Center on Monday night.
Senior standout Cody Potter finished with a game-high 22 points, seven rebounds, five steals and two blocks as the Wildcats improved to 4-2. Kaden Robinson added 18 points.
Jacob Young paced the Hawks, now 2-5, with 11 points.

STANVILLE – Phelps survived horrific free-throw shooting to get past Betsy Layne, 52-44, in a game played at Junior Newsome Arena on Monday night.
The Hornets, now 3-3, made good on just 9 of 27 attempts from the line. The Bobcats (3-2) struggled from the floor, hitting just 11 total field goals, including three treys.
Dominick Francis paced Phelps with 14 points while Jason Casey added 10 points and 10 boards.
Betsy Layne’s Jordan Frazier had a big night with 21 points and 12 rebounds to score a double-double.
