BUCKLEYS CREEK – Shelby Valley saw a slim fourth-quarter lead slip away as Spencer County edged the Wildcats, 71-69, in the Buffalo Wild Wings Shootout played at the Hawks Nest on Saturday.

Cody Potter poured in 27 points and Kaden Robinson followed with 17 and Elijah Sykes added 16.

Jordan Frazier fired in a game-high 26 points for the Bobcats, now 2-0. Chase Mims hit for 11 and Lukas Manns and Brady Robinson added 10 each.

Grayson Whitaker led the Hornets  (1-1) with 21 points. Randy Bailey and Isaiah Salyer scored 15 each.

Adam Slone paced the Blackcats, now 2-0, with 20 points. Gunner Williams added 15 and Clayton Smith tallied 10.

Parker Williams led the Cougars (0-2) with a game-high 22 points and Ryan Lebrun hit for 17.

Rylee Sammons finished with 26 points and seven rebounds as Pikeville dropped to 1-1. Nick Robinson and  Grayson Harris followed with 12 each while Laithan Hall and John Flanery added eight apiece.

LOUISA – Lawrence County rallied from a double-digit, first period deficit to slip past Phelps, 68-64, in a game played at the Dawg House on Saturday.

Tyler Maynard hit for 22 points and Cody Maynard followed with 15 as the Dawgs improved to 2-1. Trenton Adkins chipped in 10.

Phelps, now 1-2, was led by Trey Francis’ game-high 27 points and Dominick Francis tallied 17.
