HS SOCCER ROUNDUP: P’burg girls advance in All ‘A’

Prestonsburg’s Lady Blackcats rolled to their sixth straight win, beating West Carter, 12-2, in an All “A” tournament matchup played on Monday night.

Lauren Johnson knocked home four goals while Anna Burchett added three goals and three assists.

Kadynce Hackworth followed with three goals and one assist while Hannah Blankenship and Maggie Nelson added one goal each.

Chloe Collins and Lauren Patton had two assists each and Shae Robinson finished with one.

Goalkeeper Alivia Slone allowed just two goals.

The Lady Blackcats will play Todd County Central in the All “A” state tournament in Frankfort on Sept. 26.

Johnson Central improved to 5-0 on the season as the Lady Eagles cruised past Pikeville, 8-0, in a match played at the Bob Amos Soccer Complex on Monday night.

Goalkeeper Chloe Dyer record her first shutout of the season.

Kelci Blair had three goals to lead a balanced scoring attack. Makaylie Walker, Heather Lyons, Haley Lykins, Konstance McCarty and Amidy Bentley added one goal each.

Lakin Bentley assisted on three goals and Lexi Scarberry followed with two. Alyssa Willis and Walker had one apiece.

Lawrence County snapped a one match losing streak with a solid 10-0 victory over Belfry in a match played at the Dawg House on Monday night.

Emersyn Elliott had four goals to lead the way while Ellie Webb had two goals and two assists. Alyssa Moore added two goals and one assist. Citori Branham and Jasmine Justice scored one goal apiece.

Casey Hovis, Brylee Blair, Maggie Johnson, and Camran Diamond added one assist each.

Goalkeeper Kaison Ward had two saves in recording the shutout win.

Lawrence County’s Luke Johnson scored six goals and assist on one other to power the Bulldogs to an 8-1 victory over Belfry in a match played at the Dawg House on Monday night.

Blake Maynard added two goals and assisted on six others while Ryder Brown had one assist.

Goalkeeper Trent Adkins had five saves and allowed one goal while Luke Johnson added four saves.
