Belfry’s Jasper McCoy scored on a penalty kick in the 51st minute to pull the Pirates even at 1-all with host Martin County and the match played at The Rock which ended in a tie on Thursday night.
Martin County had taken a 1-0 halftime lead on Bobby Hale’s goal in the 18th minute off an assist from Evan Mills.
The Cardinals, now 3-3-1, took 14 shots on goal. Belfry goalkeeper Makaden Maynard finished with eight saves.
Belfry, which dropped to 2-4-2, had 13 shots on goal. Cardinal goalie Ethan Frey recorded seven saves.

Johnson Central’s Nathaniel Narendrakumar scored a pair of goals to help lead the Golden Eagles to a 6-3 victory over Letcher Central in a match played at Eagle Field on Thursday night.
Sawyer Crum added two goals and one assists while Braydon Staniford and Shawn Arms added one goal each.
Goalkeeper Tate Cox had 11 saves as the Golden Eagles improved to 4-3-1.
Javier Polly, Joseph Campbell, and Hayden Bentley each had one goal for the Cougars, now 2-6-1.

Martin County’s Julia Pinson scored in the 42nd minute to snap a 3-all tie and the Lady Cardinals went on to double up Belfry, 8-4, in a match played at The Rock on Thursday.
Pinson and Sophia McCoy finished with three goals each as Martin County moved to 6-3. Lena Hale added two.
Kinzie Jackson had two goals and Zoey Caudill added one. Belfry’s fourth goal came when it went off a Martin County player and into the goal.
Belfry (2-7) goalkeeper Jazzy Cline had 13 saves as the Lady Cardinals had 32 shots on goal.
