The Paintsville Lady Tigers took charge early on against cross-town rival Johnson Central and went on to score a 3-0 victory in the 57th District championship match played on Tuesday.
Paintsville, now 16-2, won its ninth straight championship.
Hailey Little totaled 16 kills, three digs and four serving aces in the 25-11, 25-11 and 25-17 win. Hadley Hardin followed with six kills, six digs and four aces.
Bella Blackburn had 29 assists and two aces while Blair Ratliff finished with six kills and two blocks. Kara Ward added five kills and four digs. Mattie Ratliff and Alissa Mullins each had 11 digs and Emma Music finished with seven.
Both teams advance to the 15th Region tournament.

Betsy Layne rallied from a two-set deficit to stun Prestonsburg, 3-2, in the district semifinals played at Junior Newsome Arena on Tuesday.
The Lady Bobcats, now 10-7, will face defending champion Floyd Central 6 p.m. today.
Katie Kidd had nine kills, 11 blocks and six digs in the 24-26, 21-25, 25-21, 25-17 and 15-8 comeback win. Alyndra Meade added 13 kills, two blocks and 10 digs while Inetta Hamilton finished with 12 kills, seven digs and seven aces.
Lindsey Watkins totaled 3 kills, 39 assists, 16 digs and four serving aces. Emily Johnson added three kills, six blocks and 20 digs. Maddie Meade had 62 digs and three aces. Ashley Caudill finished with 23 digs.
Molly Boyd led the Lady Blackcats with 16 kills, 10 assists, 19 digs and four serving aces while Erin Akers finished with two kills, 24 assists and 25 digs.
Kennedy Rose had 11 kills and three blocks while Jada Slone finished with four kills and 16 digs. Aaliyah Jarrell had 17 digs and Mya Burgess added 12.

Shelby Valley will face Pikeville in the district championship match on Thursday night after the Lady Cats advanced with a 3-0 forfeit win over East Ridge.

Letcher Central advanced to the district championship match with a dominating 3-0 win over June Buchanan on Tuesday night.
Keisha Niece had four kills and five blocks in the 25-8, 25-7 and 25-8 win. Autumn Wampler finished with four kills, nine digs and two aces.
Summer Madden totaled three kills, eight digs and two serving aces while Charlie Hale added five digs and seven aces. Destinee Sammons added eight digs.
The Lady Cougars, now 5-5, will host Knott County Central at 7 p.m. on Oct. 22.

Pike County Central punched it ticket to the district championship match against host Belfry with a 3-1 win over Phelps on Tuesday night.
The Lady Hawks, 4-10, won 25-18, 22-25, 25-19 and 26-24.
Pike Central and Belfry will play at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
