Pikeville held on to its number one ranking in the latest girls’ Mountain Top Sports Super 7 basketball poll released on Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers, 9-3, were followed by Mingo Central which moved ahead of Martin County into the number two spot. The Lady Miners are 6-1. The Lady Cardinals are 8-4 at number three.
Shelby Valley (8-5) is fourth, followed by Phelps (9-5) at number five.
Rounding out the poll are Letcher Central (10-5) at number six and Belfry (6-4) is seventh.
Tug Valley (5-1) and Lawrence County (8-6) received votes.
