The Shelby Valley Wildcats maintained their number one ranking in the latest Mountain Top Sports Super 7 boys’ basketball poll released on Tuesday.
The Wildcats, 10-3, are followed by Chapmanville (7-1) at number two. The two-time defending West Virginia Class AA champions have now won 48 straight games against in-state opponents.
Johnson Central (6-5) is third, followed by Betsy Layne (9-4) in fourth.
Rounding out the poll are Logan (6-3) at number five, Belfry (6-4) is sixth and Pikeville (6-6) is seventh.
Lawrence County (8-6) and Magoffin County (7-5) received votes.
