There are shakeups in the latest Mountain Top Sports Super 7 football poll released on Monday afternoon.
Johnson Central held on to the top spot in this week’s poll while Pikeville, following its big home win over Belfry, moves into the number two position.
The Panthers, now 2-0, moved ahead of No. 3 Belfry (1-1) after beating the Pirates, 20-14, at Hillard Howard Field. It marked the second straight win over Belfry in the series.
Paintsville (1-0) remained at No. 4, followed by Shelby Valley (2-0) in the fifth position.
Letcher Central (2-0) claims the No. 6 spot following the Cougars big win over Pike County Central at Cougar Field.
Rounding out the poll this week is newcomer Floyd Central (2-0). The Jaguars climbed into the poll after knocking off Prestonsburg on Friday.
