Wore #61 for the PHS Football Team as a Halfback for Head Coach, Clayton Powers
1951 Football Season: On September 30th, after PHS Football defeated Frankfort, they earned Litkenhous Rating of 55.7 with Frankfort holding a rating of 34.7 that week. November 13th, 1951 PHS Football was rated 18th per the Courier-Journal Litkenhous Rating. The 1951 Team finished with a record of 9-2-1.
The 1951 Panthers defeated Louisa 33-13 in the Big Sandy Bowl at Paintsville
The Panthers were selected to play in the 1951 Shrine Bowl which was remarked as “the finest Bowl in KY High School Football” where they would fall to the state’s #1 rated team, Bellevue.
