SWEET 16 TOURNAMENT: Male runs away from Breathitt County

Breathitt County’s biggest hill to climb all season was just too much as Louisville Male shot “lights out” in rolling to a 94-59 win over the Bobcats in the second day of opening round games being played at Rupp Arena on Thursday.

Breathitt County ended the season at 18-10.

Luke Bellamy paced the Bobcats with 16 points and Austin Sperry followed with 10 and Bryce Hoskins chipped in nine.

Male, now 26-10, landed all five starters in double-figure scoring. Led by Jack Edelen with a game-high 18.
