Johnson Central had only three hits but fielding miscues by Belfry opened the door as the Lady Eagles blanked the Lady Pirates, 4-0, in the opening round of the 15th Region tournament played at Massey Energy Field on Memorial Day.
Macy Conley singled twice and batted in one run. Randi Delong added an RBI while Clara Blair walked and scored.
Maddie Vaughn tossed a six-hit shutout.
Natalie Fite had two singles in the loss. Kylie Phillips singled and walked.

Lawrence County took the lead away from Shelby Valley with six runs in the bottom of the second inning and the Lady Bulldogs rolled to a 15-6 win.
Shelby Blevins had three hits, including a pair of doubles, scored twice and drove in six runs. Gracie Preece collected three hits and knocked in three runs while scoring twice.
Abby Nelson added three hits, scored three runs, and added an RBI. Allie Triplett doubled and singled while batting in two runs and scoring.
Danielle Crum finished with three hits and scored three runs while adding an RBI. Bree Jones singled twice and walked, scored three runs, and batted in one.
Taylor Blevins was the winning pitcher.
Josie Adkins doubled and singled, scored, and drove in two runs in the loss. Olivia Bowling doubled and knocked in three runs while Riley Fleming singled and scored.
