Belfry took a first-inning lead against Phelps and the Pirates went on to score a 10-3 victory in the championship game played at Massey Energy Field on Tuesday night.
Jake Varney had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in three runs while scoring once as Belfry improved to 22-11. Ashton Deskins doubled in one run and scored while Isaiah Stanley doubled in another.
Parker Hall was the winning pitcher.
Dominick Francis had an RBI-triple for the Hornets, who fell to 8-11. Riley Dotson doubled and scored while Cainan Land singled in one run.
Dawson McCoy took the loss.
Both teams advance to this weekend’s 15th Region tournament at East Ridge.
