Prestonsburg backup quarterback Alex Harris ran five yards for the go-ahead touchdown with 1 minute, 59 seconds remaining to lift the Blackcats to a 28-25 win over Betsy Layne at Josh Francis Memorial Field on Friday night.
The Bobcats took the lead on a 30-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Brady Robinson to Carson Parsons with 5:53 to play. Robinson also ran for a touchdown.
Dylon Williams returned a Prestonsburg fumble back 85 yards for a score. Reece Music, who ran for 135 yards, added a one-yard scoring run.
Blackcat quarterback Reece Hamilton tossed a 48-yard TD pass to Dalton Elliott and running back Jon Little had an 18-yard touchdown run to open the scoring. Hamilton passed for 107 yards.
Ethan Jarvis, who ran for 126 yards, added an 11-yard scoring run.
Both teams return to action on Friday as the Bobcats visit Morgan County (0-1) and the Blackcats journey to Magoffin County (0-1). Both games kick at 7:30 pm.
