HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Bobcats split road games

Betsy Layne took the lead for good early in the second half and the Bobcats pulled away to beat Leslie County, 63-48, in a road game played on Monday night.
Andrew Kidd led the way with 22 points and Tanner Hall added 18 as Betsy Layne improved to 5-4.

Floyd Central and Betsy Layne battled back-and-forth throughout the game before the Jaguars escaped with a 68-64 win at home on Friday night.

Ronnie Samons and Braden Moore paced Floyd Central, now 5-1, with 18 and 15 points. Dylan Boyd chipped in 10.

Andrew Kidd led the Bobcats (4-4) with a game-high 22 points. Carter Parsons net 17 and Tanner Martin tallied 10.
