HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Price leads Golden Eagles past Black Bears

Johnson Central’s defense was rock solid and running back Chase Price had a big night as the Golden Eagles blanked Harlan County, 43-0, in a district game played at Coal Miners Memorial Field on Friday night.

Price ran for 172 yards and three touchdowns as the Golden Eagles moved to 6-2. Zack McCoart, Christian Barnes, and quarterback Jacob Grimm added a rushing score each.

The Golden Eagles will host Letcher Central (6-2) at Jim Matney Field on Friday in the battle for the top spot in the district. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
